you tube footage of Triple Hill coming soon
Hello! working on getting some current footage of Triple Hill with my kids and daily life here on the ranch. Will also be attempting to download, upload, post via you tube the original footage that was taken for the stallion video...that was done...10 years ago. Where has the time gone????? Remarkably, Triple Hill still has dapples.
I also hope to be posting different ponies by Triple Hill that I know of who are for sale and the contact info to the owners.
so come back, check in and keep in touch. Tried to dig through my files of photos to find a current one of Trip. Or better yet, find the one of Trip grazing with his friend Paris the Pig...no joke. but couldn't find it. Guess we will have to get some current pictures with the winter fuzz setting in!

2010 USEF 2 Triple Hill Champions
I guess some times it pays to forget about the pony world and let what will be just unfold as it is meant too. Coming home from a camping trip, I have been informed by several different breeders/friends that Triple Hill had two of his son's win championships at the 2010 USEF Pony Finals.
Photo is of Pippin aka "Highland's Make Believe" and Maddie Darst.
One of those ponies has already been discussed here but he is clearly worthy of more. Highland's Make Believe brought home the Medium Pony Grand Championship with Maddie Darst. Rumor has it these two have only been a team for a few short weeks...possibly less than 2.
The other pony, I know very well, Robin Hill's Snapshot. Snap is now with Emil Spadone. He was born at our farm back in PA. He had a solid "childhood" with his breeders who when above and beyond giving him the best available...regardless of the financial impact. Their number one goal was always getting him in good hands and a reputable barn. The Lenfest's of Robin Hill Family Farm did that. And trust me, they deserve to have one of their ponies be in the spot light. So a sincere heart felt congratulations to Robin Hill's Snapshot being Grand Champion in the Medium Green Pony Division
As more info comes in and I get some photos, I will update this again.

Derby Hill the horse version of Triple Hill
Derby Hill was bred by yours truly. He was born in 2000 on Derby Day. When he came out of his dam, who was an Irish Thoroughbred, one look at his long legs, I knew we were not looking at a pony. But I stayed in denial and some what hopeful that I could be wrong.
Derby has always had the personality of a pet puppy who would much rather come live in your house than be an equine.
Highlights of his younger years are rather varied. He spent a few weeks with Scott Stewart in New Jersey. Scott fell in love with him and reluctantly passed on buying him because it became ever so clear, a pony he was NOT!!!!
So Derbster came west with Triple Hill and the group moving west. I played with Derby when time was allowed. A newborn had me some what occupied. Each time I rode him, I melted on his back. I felt like I was riding the horse version of Triple Hill. Packed full of talent and personality, I felt it was a shame to have him living in the middle of NO WHERE and wasting his talent. I reluctantly put him up for sale, not knowing where it would lead me.
Christina Dowling of Malibu, saw a picture of him and immediately persued him. Sight unseen, besides the photo and a very make shift video of me riding him out in a crop field, he was vetted and then shipped to Southern CA.
And yes, he is a horse. He has shown among the big big warmbloods and other larger breeds and has consistently shown them that great things come in small packages.
I will test my technology skills and see if I can find the clips and even post one of this stunning horse who is now for sale. I miss him dearly. Out of all the ponies/horses I bred, Derby, in my opinion was THE ONE with all the makings, even if 15.3hh.
Update on Highland's Make Believe
In times of advanced technology, I never thought it would be so difficult to track down ponies that are by Triple Hill. With that said, I did get some info on Pippin from his previous owners the Sconzo's.
Pippin was sold to Elizabeth Wenner of Long Island New York, not leased. Apparently their journey together had "mixed" results. When they were ON, they were unstoppable in any company. Example, 2009 in Wellington, amongst the best of the best, he was Reserve Champion out of 30 plus ponies.
As for 2010, it gets foggy once again. Rumor is his is now for sale due to Elizabeth making that final, one way, step to horses.
Will keep searching for more info on him.

Bryn Taran Larkspur
This is Bryn Taran Larkspur, a 7 year old Triple Hill gelding. He is out of Out of the Blue who passed away in I believe 2008. This was Out of The Blue's only gelding by Triple Hill. Out Of The Blue was by Blue Rain.
"Spur" was purchased by Jennifer Bowe. She fell in love with this pony before he was broke. She bought him for her daughter. Ironically, I told her it was a huge mistake to buy a youngster for a youngster. That her money was better spent getting a KICK ME/BEEN THERE DONE THAT pony for her daughter. Jen being Jen, she did what she wanted to do and bought her 3 year old daughter a 3 year old pony.
Spur and Zoe have been best buds. Coming up from leadline and now doing short stirrup. They are a delightful match and have had great success in and out of the show ring back in PA.
Thanks for the picture Jen. Please keep me posted on how the 2010 show season goes!!!

Breeding season is here...or is it?
Well, it would appear that yours truly is rather pathetic at maintaining a blog. The reasons are many and mostly irrelevant to anyone that reads this.
Life has taken so many drastic turns since I first became pregnant in 2004. It's all very good. But I do feel like I have let down Triple Hill by not having him standing at stud a top priority in my life. His roll in my life now, is a pet and a friend to me and the kids. His presence here on the ranch is no longer a monetary motivated existence. I think he could care less, to tell the truth.
He now gets ridden by me and the kids, used on the ranch and has a field mate, Cappuccino. He has a more normal pony lifestyle. I do believe he misses the bookings/breedings that were once plentiful. If the right person finds us and has the kind of mare that I approve of, he will be led to the breeding area and the goods will be done. Between now and then, he is happy, fat and just enjoying life.
I have not followed up with any Triple Hill pony owners this year. Due to the economy and little people really banging down the campaigning pony trail and the daily activities on the ranch, I am left with no time, energy or ambition to be active in this area. I think I will try to drum up some enthusiasm and do some snooping around. we shall see!!!!!!

Triple Hill
Triple Hill-Registered Half Welsh Section B Pony Stallion. Registered WPCSA.
13.2 hh 1995 yob
By the late *Carolina's Red Fox
Out of-Broadaxe Chablie-by *Cusop Sparklet,O/O TB mare
Triple Hill is 3/4 welsh. Triple Hill offers refinement and pony size to larger horse sized mares
as well as a touch of the classic TB elegance to the smaller purebred pony mares.
Triple Hill currently stands at Stud in Idaho. Originally in PA. Relocated in 2005.
We no longer actively advertise Triple Hill standing at stud. People find him by word of mouth
and repeat breeders. Our attetion as shifted away from actively breeding and promoting performance ponies. Having our own children and buying our Idaho ranch has redirected our lives.
Besides collecting Trip and shipping semen around the country, he is now used by our two kids
on our cattle ranch. He is turned out with other horses and has more of a "normal" life for a pony stallion than being only a stud pony.
We do offer over night collections to approved mares. Frozen semen is available to select mares as well.
The intent of this blog is to update it with current pictures of his offspring that are doing someting in the world, regardless of the niche in the horse world. Trip has offspring out there that are doing a wide range of different things:eventing, hunter ponies/horses, fox hunting, pony club, driving and now in breeding programs.
